Mikael says Chennai will be revolutionary for India

"Chennai will be proud of us,"  says legendary French Mikael Silvestre.


Chennaiyin FC have given a statement of intent on their formal unveiling ceremony. Mikael Silvestre was effusive about the team’s prospects in particular as he said Chennai will be part of a ‘revolution’.




“The city of Chennai will be proud of us,” said Sivestre.




“It’s my first visit to the city. I am looking forward to starting the season. Football in India will grow and Chennai will be part of the revolution,” he added.




The captain of Chennaiyin, Bojan Djordic, was confident about his team’s chances despite entering into the tournament later than the other franchisees. The midfeld marshal of Chennayin was confident that the they will play as a team and will always be a team no matter what.




“We are here as a team,” he said.


“We might not have the biggest of names. But best players don’t always make the best teams. Irrespective of the results we will be there for each other.”
