Manchester United vs Southampton Match Preview

Ronald Koeman’s high-flying Saints visit Old Trafford to take on Manchester United as the race for top four hots up. Louis van Gaal’s boys won the reverse fixture last month 2-1 thanks to a Robin van Persie brace.

The hosts will look for a win this time too, as they have a very good home form this season after suffering their opening day defeat to Swans. Southampton will look to dislodge United from third spot with a win at Old Trafford while United will look to close gap on the league leaders.

Team News

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has confirmed that except Ashley Young all the players are fit for tomorrow’s game. This means we may see a fully fit United squad for the very first time this season.

For Saints, Nathaniel Clyne and Jack Cork are set to return after missing New Year’s games and FA Cup following week. New signing Eljero Elia may also play a part tomorrow.

Probable Lineups

United - De Gea; Jones, Smalling, Evans; Shaw, Carrick, Rooney, Di Maria; Mata; Van Persie, Falcao

Southampton - Forster; Alderweireld, Fonte, Clyne, Bertrand; Wanyama, Davis, Ward-Prowse; Tadic, Elia; Pelle

TFM predicts a 2-2 draw
