Moura and Lucca signed for FC Goa
ISL side FC Goa have signed 21 year old Midfielder Jonatan Lucca as well defender Leonardo da Silva Moura. Moura, 36, captained top Brazilian side Flamengo where he spent 10 years making over 300 appearances for them as well as scoring 27 goals in the tenure. He had represented Brazil in a friendly in 2008. He has also played for all four of Rio de Janeiro’s big clubs which include Botafogo, Vasco, Fluminense and Flamengo.
"Each franchise can sign a maximum of two foreign players of their choice as part of their plus four additional quota. But for an additional foreign player to be signed, they must first sign the mandatory eight international players and a marquee," an official said.
FC Goa have already signed 8 foreign players, which includes 6 Brazilians. 21 year old defensive midfielder Luca, would be joining the ISL side on loan from Brazil’s side Atlético Paranaense B. Brazil captain Lucio, Gregory Arnolin, Jofre Gonzalez, Reinaldo de Oliveira, Victor Simoes, Elinton Andrade, Leo Moura and Jonatan Lucca have all been signed by FC Goa so far.
As per sources: "FC Goa are not keen to sign more than the minimum requirement of international players. At best, they may (now) sign another foreign player to complete the minimum quota but it's unlikely to be either Luciano or Odafa".
Jonatan Lucca has previously played for Italian side AS Roma as well as Atlético Paranaense.
