New York Red Bulls eyeing Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard this summer

In what can be termed as the biggest news of this season, former Liverpool manager Gerrard Houllier, who is now director at the MLS side, is eyeing a spectacular reunion with his former skipper.

The New York side are set to offer him a lucrative deal, if he fails to agree a deal with Liverpool this summer. Gerrard whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season will be free to leave the club, if Liverpool fails to agree terms with him.

The English midfielder will be free to discuss terms with other clubs in January, if the deadlock at the Merseyside persists. Stevie G has been a one club man till date and will be looking to reach an amicable solution with his boyhood club.
