Dynamos edge past a spirited NorthEast side with a 2-1 win over the hosts in a must-win encounter.

Two quick first half goals from Hans Mulder and Gustavo sealed the day for the visitors while D.Mtonga pulled on e back late in the game for the hosts.



The game was high on temper as both sides were in it to get all three points. The match two red cards as both the teams were down to ten men at the end of 90 minutes. First, Soumik Chakraborty (45+1’) and then, Aiborlang Khongjee (83’) were shown the door by the referee.



Ricki Herbert’s side were the brighter of the two but they did not take their chances which cost them the match. On the other hand, Dynamos grabbed both the opportunities presented to them with both the hands as they managed to win their second game of the season.


Gustavo opened the scoring with a thunderbolt from the left in 6th minute to give the visitors a surprise lead. Gustavo again linked up with his strike partner Mulder who also fired a cracking shot past Rehenesh. Dynamos pulled a two goal lead inside 15 minutes into the game.


Highlanders wasted their chances as they themselves could’ve scored three goals in first half but David Mtonga puled one back late in the second half as he scored off a Koke corner.




Dynamos are mow in 7th place as they edge past NorthEast on goal difference who are at the bottom of the table.
