Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is a frustrated figure in the Arsenal dressing room as he has been constantly overlooked by his boss Arsene Wenger.
Podolski was the only frontline forward available to Arsenal when they were marred by injuries to Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud. But the Frenchman chose to splash the cash on Danny Welbeck on deadline day due to which his gametime permanently vanished.
For a player who has over 100 caps for his country, this is very hard thing to digest. He went on the record to make his displeasure public.
The forward told German television station RTL:
"I am a full-blooded player, a street player and I love competition.
"If I don't have this competition every weekend then a change must occur. We'll have to see but I have to at least give it a thought."
When probed further whether his international future was in limbo due to his limited game time for the Gunners. The former FC Koln man shot back,
"I've been involved in the Germany team for a long time and have already had phases when I haven't played so much at other clubs and still been in the team, so it's not a problem".
