Podolski to Galatasaray

Ex Bayern Munich player Lukas Podolski is poised to sign for Turkish side Galatasaray, the forward/winger is keen for more first team football and the Turkish team are there to provide just that. The club has made a bid of 1.5 million pounds.

It is also believed that the Super Lig champions will offer the Germany international a three-year deal as he nears his Emirates exit. Podolski spent the second half of last season on loan at Inter where he could manage to get only 1 goal in 19 appearances.

Meanwhile, Turkish champions’ manager Hamza Hamzaoglu recently revealed the club are interested in a potential deal. "Podolski and (Andre) Gignac are both on our shortlist." Hamzaoglu said.

“I can't make any claims. 'I am under contract at Arsenal. I have not talked to Arsenal yet, but if I return I want to play. I won't sit on the bench or in the stands.” Podolski said.

Podolski likes to hold the ball as well play a smaller passing game. The 30 year old is known to have strong passes and takes his free kicks well. The former Bayern Munich man also has the ability to shoot with extreme power as well as accuracy.

Podolski arrived in 2012 from FC Koln and has made over 50 appearances for the Gunners.
