“Messi called me a son of w*hre”, says Weligton

It has been a revelation of sorts this week by Malaga defender Weligton. He was sent off for throwing Lionel Messi to the ground in his side’s La Liga fixture against Barcelona.

Malaga were the first side this season to deny Barcelona full three points, as they managed to grind out a 0-0 draw at La Rosadela. The veteran defender later admitted that he was provoked by the former Ballon D’or winner just before the incident took place.

"I tried to prevent him from passing the ball and, after the move finished, Messi turned to me and called me a son of a wh*re,

" the veteran centre-back, 35, told Cope.

The Brazilian was in the eye of storm after all the Barca players pressurized the referee for booking the defender. Messi, as of yet hasn’t responded to this statement from the Malaga man.
