Highlights of the Premier League Weekend:

"Vaanchester" United did not fare well in spite of Rooneys athletic goal and found themselves ram into a wall at Old Trafford. Mr. Van Gaal "Welcome to the Premier League."



Leicester showed that they deseved their promotion to the top league in English Football with a strong performance against Everton. A 2-2 draw saw them start the season with a point .



Tottenham had a tough encounter with West Ham and managed a win towards the end. Both teams played with 10 men and the game also saw the first missed penalty by Noble.



Arsenal played the late kickoff on Saturday and an endured match by the Gunners saw a winning start to the season, but not so convincing. Crystal Palace seemed to play a good game inspite of not having their Manager. Ramsey showed great form and converted the Winner for the Home team. Arsenal won 2-1



Liverpool showed a nervous backline much like last season but even without their talisman Suarez, they managed to find the level to outscore their opponents. Liverpool won 2-1 to Southampton







Manchester City also stayed in sync with the other top teams and won a comfortable 2-0 with Newcastle, defying last years away form. David Silva applied his sublime touch to put City on the board and Aguero sealed the deal with the second.



Chelsea went a goal down to newcomers Burnley, but showed great gameplay after to pull back 3 goals in the first half itself. Diego Costa got his first goal for the Blues while Cesc Fabregas was the star of the day. Chelsea Won 3 - 1
