It was a Luis Suarez show at Parc des Princes as Barcelona thumped a depleted PSG side 3-1 with a brace from the Uruguayan. PSG face an uphill task of outscoring Barca at Camp Nou as the tie is virtually sealed by the La Blaugrana.
Neymar who opened the scoring for the visitors as Barca was in total control of the game right from the word go. The Brazilian looked in his elements as he was the next best player of the night after Suarez. Parisians tried to equalize but in vain as Javier Pastore missed a golden opportunity by fluffing his shot.
The second half was a Luis Suarez show as he rightly justified his 60 million pounds price tag. The Uruguayan scored his first and Barca’s second in spectacular fashion as he nutmegged David Luiz and skipped past two more defenders to fire the ball past Sirigu. It was the goal of the knockouts as he completely bamboozled PSG defence.
His second was equally good as he once again nutmegged Luiz before scoring the goal. Suarez simply looked majestic in that 15 minute spell of his in the second half where he skitlled defenders at will. Gregory van der Wiel gave the hosts some hope for the second leg as his ferocious shot deflected off Mathieu on its way to goal.
This is tie is far from over as a rejuvenated PSG is more than able to give this side a run for their money.
