Overview

They are the in-form teams of this group. Both teams are coming of resounding victories in their domestic leagues. Rudi Garcia’s men have made a fortress of sorts at the Stadio Olympico. But Pep’s Bayern are a juggernaut that can steam roll any team at will.

This is a battle of two teams who always swear by the attacking philosophy which will surely entertain the viewers. Roma will be led by their impressive leader in Francesco Totti while Bayern by Phillip Lahm. A classic clash of titans in their own right.

Team News

The hosts will be without Seydou Keita who has injured his calf while on international duty and Kostas Manolas, who will serve his suspension this week.

Bayern will be hoping that Franck Ribery is fit to play in Rome. But they will miss Spaniards Pepe Reina and Thiago Alcantra, both of them through injury.

Roma: Skorupski; Maicon, Manolas, Yanga-Mbiwa, Cole; Pjanic, Nainggolan; Gervinho, Totti, Florenzi; Destro

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Alaba, Boateng, Dante, Bernat; Lahm, Alonso; Ribery, Robben, Muller; Lewandowski
