Ronaldo urges Madridistas to back ‘key’ player Gareth Bale

The Ballon d’Or winner has urged Real Madrid fans to back Gareth Bale, after reports emerged that he isn’t a fan favourite and is regularly jeered by them. Ronaldo said,

"The people will be nice with him and they should be nice. Things with Gaz are normal.

"They [fans] know that Gaz is a very important player for us, a key player."

The Welshman made the move to Madrid from Spurs last summer in a world record transfer fee and is reportedly unsettled in Spain due to fans’ behaviour towards him.

The Portuguese also added that Madridistas are truly the most honest fans and they never fail to express themselves.

"Madrid fans are always the same, they are very intense, they show what they feel, they aren't liars."
