Slovakia vs Spain Match Preview

International break is back as we shift our focus from routine nitty gritties of club football to affairs of international football.

We are starting our preview with Spain’s travel to Slovakia.

Overview

Spain vs Slovakia on paper should be a cake walk for the Spanish guys on paper. But the kind of form both these teams are in, it is hardly going to be an easy ride for both teams, especially Spain.

Slovakia are in fine form as they have lost just one game in last five, which includes a surprise 1-0 win over Ukraine 3 weeks ago.

On the other hand, Spain’s form is as good as crap. With just two wins in last five. They played some good football against Macedonia but we all know how good Macedonia are.

Team News

Spain misses out on their star defender Sergio Ramos to calf injury. Ramos will be replaced by Barcelona’s young prodigy Marc Bartra.

Chelsea’s Diego Costa is still doubtful as his manager advised him to skip international fixtures in order to recover completely over the two week international break.

Slovakia on the other hand are boosted by the return of their star players Martin Skrtel and Marek Hamsik.
