The stage was set for UEFA Champions League group stage draw of the 2014-15 season, at Monaco in France. The final will be played at the Olympiastadion, in Berlin, Germany on the 6th of June 2015. The teams have been positioned as listed below:

Group A: Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Olympiakos, Malmo FF

Group B: Real Madrid, Basel, Liverpool, PFC Ludogorets

Group C: Benfica, Zenit Football Club, Bayern Leverkuesen, AS Monaco

Group D: Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Galatasaray, Anderlecht

Group E: Bayern Munchen, Manchester City, CSKA Moskva, AS Roma

Group F: Barcelona, PSG, Ajax, Apoel FC

Group G: Chelsea, Schalke, SC Portugal, Maribo

Group H: Porto, Shakhthar Donetsk, Athletic Bilbao, FC Bate Borisov

Group D seems to be a tough group. However, one would expect to see Arsenal and Dortmund as favourites. Group H is another interesting Group with Porto,  Shakhthar, Athletic Bilbao and Bate Borisov. Any two teams from this Group could go through to the knockout stage and it would be an interesting set of ties.  Chelsea have a relatively easy Group as compared to their English counterparts. City have tough fixtures in Bayern and Roma. Liverpool on the other hand would have to fight off the Swiss side Basel to ensure qualification to the Round of 16.

May the best team win!!!
