Valencia end Real Madrid’s 22 game unbeaten run as they edge past them in a thrilling 2-1 win over the league leaders.

Real Madrid opened the scoring for the visitors as he converted a penalty after Alvaro Negredo handled the ball in the box. It was Ronaldo’s 26th Liga goal of the season. But soon the picture of the game changed dramatically as Valencia slowly managed to get a grip on the game.

Los Che leveled in 35th minute via defender Antonio Barragan Fernandez as he fired a shot from just outside the box which was deflected home by Real Madrid’s Pepe. The intensity displayed by Valencia was commendable and they never let Real have any sort of breathing space.

And in second half Valencia just got their winner as Nicholas Otamendi thumped a powerful header past Iker Casillas as Daniel Parejo’s pinpoint corner wreaked havoc. Both the teams from then on had ample of chances but none could convert it. Finally Valencia came through as they continue their riotous home form in La Liga.
