Southampton who are being linked with Dutch legendary midfielder Wesley Sneijder by the media. But the Southampton manager has come out to dish the rumours of his team being linked with Wesley.

Koeman who has the same agent as Sneijder was quoted saying:

"I am interested," he said. "But we can't pay him.

"I know that because his agent is my agent."

Sneijder who has been linked with Manchester united for quite some years now, looks more and more likelier to join the club, due to the Van Gaal factor.

Wesley who joined Galatasary in 2013, has been an integral part of the Turkish side. Sneijder joined Gala from Inter Milan who didn't want to extend his contract due to his wage demands. But his good will with the Turkish club has come to a point where he just doesn't want to stay there any more.

Southampton who spent handsomely in summer as they recruited majority of their players from the Dutch League, cannot afford Sneijder due to his wage. Hence manager just ruled the club out of the race.
