West Ham want Alex Song permanently

West Ham United who have spent heavily in this transfer window, bringing a new manager and Payet from Marseille are set to move to the last phase of making the Alex Song transfer permanent.

The Cameroon midfielder who was linked with a whole host of clubs Manchester City and Chelsea included because of his home grown status, looks like he has chosen east London as his home.

Song spent last season on loan at Upton Park from Barcelona, and the player gave a hint of where his playing future would lie when posting an Instagram photo of himself in the gym wearing a pair of West Ham's new training shorts.

He was also present at the clubs Europa League qualifiers encounter as he looks to make a permanent move. But Alex Song who has still two years left on a 70k P/w Barcelona contract, has a £5m price tag on him.

West Ham United on the other hand want the player on free, with the player holding no future at the club.
