With Indian football growing leaps and bounds, there is one area where we would want more development, the ladies football league. Ranked 55th in the world and 11th in Asia, the Indian Women's National team is one to nurture it for the better. We look at top 5 Indian players who've done well to be either playing at the highest level.

5) Bala Devi Ngangom:

One of the brightest sparks in the Indian women's team, Bala Devi Ngangom is an out and out poacher. Bala Devi a resident of Manipur has come a long way since playing football locally to becoming one of the best prospects.



4) Loitongbam Ashalata Devi:

At just 22, Ashalata is one for the future. A central defender by trade, the Imphal resident has seen her stock grown as she now plays her major part of club games in the Maldives league.

3) Brishti Bagchi:

The first Indian women to ply her trade in the American Women's Soccer league, Brishti Bagchi has done ever so well to earn it. A winger or a wide player, Brishti can run rings round the defenders on her day.

2) Tanvie Hans:

From Delhi to London, story of a girl who found her inspiration from the Bollywood movie ' Bend it like Beckham'.
Tanvie Hans, when she first moved to London joined Spurs to play in their second tier ladies team, but has since moved on to play a vital role in the Fulham women's team.



1) Aditi Chauhan:

Another story of a girl from Delhi, India to make it to the very too of the game. Goal keeper Aditi Chauhan just recently joined West Ham United ladies. Handing her the no.42 jersey, she made her West Ham debut on the 15th of August.
