Premier League club Arsenal has finally signed Alexis Sanchez on a 4-year deal to become the London outfit’s second costliest player behind Mesut Ozil at £30 million.
The player travelled to London to get his medical and after being confirmed as a Gunner agreed upon a deal that would earn him £130,000 a week.
The Chile striker has scored 39 goals in 88 appearances for Barcelona and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is hopeful that the player will fit right in amongst the current Gunners’ squad.
Also the Frenchman was all praises for the 25-year-old as he said, “As many people have seen during the World Cup this summer, Alexis is a fantastic footballer and we are delighted that he is joining us at Arsenal.
“Alexis will add power, creativity and much quality to our squad and we are all looking forward to him joining up with us in a few weeks,” continued Wenger.
“He has consistently produced top-quality performances at the highest level for a number of seasons now and we are all excited to see him integrate into the Arsenal squad.
“I’m sure all Arsenal supporters will join me in welcoming Alexis to our club,” concluded the ecstatic Arsenal boss.
Arsenal now have a tremendous forward, albeit not the strong center forward that some hoped they would sign to replace Olivier Giroud. They may still move to buy one later this summer, but in the meantime, they have a 25-year-old wide player who has been one of Serie A and La Liga's most dynamic forwards.
