Manchester United man Anderson and Former Barca and Chelsea legend Gudjohnson set on a move to FC Pune City?

FC Pune City are making all the headlines and they have a valid reason. The team from Maharastra are in talks with Manchester United man Anderson who was on loan to Serie A side Fiorentina last season and former Chelsea and Barcelona ace Gudjohnsen.

FC Pune have already managed to sign legends David Trezeguet and  Adrian Mutu. With a likely signing of third marquee player on the cards, that would easily make the Pune team one of the strongest, at least on paper.

A technical tie up with the Serie A club Fiorentina, Pune could be reaping the rewards of it soon.

FC Pune City technical director Gaurav Modwel said:

"We need a striker and a playmarker,"

If Pune manage to rope in either Anderson or Gudjohnsen, and Trezeguet and Mutu in attack, it could form a lethal combination of attack.

With such star names in mentions for the inaugural ISL season, there are lots and lots of hope for grass root development of football in India.
