According to reports, Arsenal is currently negotiating a deal for Southampton’s holding midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin after their attempt to sign Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira has run out of fuel.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is in dire need of a defensive midfielder as he wants to be battle ready with the Premier League starting in just under a month.
The London club was interested in the player last season but for unknown reasons they deal didn’t go further, but with the interest rekindled they will be sure to sign the player.
Arsenal’s defensive midfielders Mikel Arteta had a okay season as he looked vulnerable on several occasions while Mathieu Flamini dazzled in the role.
With the team competing for four major trophies this season, they need to have more players to fall back on rather than rely on one or two players; hence the move would be completely feasible.
