With the season just two weeks old, Arsenal play their most important game on Wednesday (today). After a 0-0 draw at the Vodafone Arena, Wenger’s boys will look to put the game to bed as soon as they can. Arsenal haven't had the best of starts to their season, a last gasp winner against and a draw against Everton after going behind and fighting back to finish the game at 2-2. On the other hand Besiktas have claimed victories against Feyenoord (Home/Away) in their champions league 3rd round qualifiers. A score draw could send Besiktas through. But Arsenal's record looks impeccable in the qualifiers. In the 13 games played; the Gunners have won 12 and faced a draw, once. There is still hope for the London club looking at the past record.
Team News:
Arsenal: The Gunners have a lot of injury concerns coming into this game. None of the Arsenals recognized strikers are fit enough to start the game. With Giroud speculated to be out for a long time, Yaya Sanogo unable to recover the injury which he picked up last week. Theo Walcott is still recovering, that leaves Arsene with Sanchez as they only option who can operate up front as a false 9. Arsenal fans also have worries about the form of Jack Wilshere in midfield, while Nacho Monreal often feels like a weak link at in left defense.
Probable line-up:
Arsenal: Szczesny; Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Flamini, Wilshere; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ozil, Cazorla; Sanchez.
Besiktas: Slaven Bilic believes this is the best time for his side to face Arsenal. Bilic has a fully fit rooster of players to choose from. Which should see Demba Ba spearing the attack for the Turks’ and the likes of Pektemek and Sahan helping the former Chelsea man in attack.
Probable line-up:
Besiktas: Zengin; Koybasi, Franco, Gulum, Motta; Ozyakup, Hutchinson, Kavlak, Sahan, Pektemek; Ba.
What our Pundits predict: Arsenal 0-1 Besiktas
