Arsenal wins this battle of struggles as Yaya Sanogo scores his first competitive goal for the hosts as they breezed past Dortmund 2-0. Alexis Sanchez’s goal sealed all but three points for the Gunners.
After 19 games of barren run, the French youngster finally broke his duck against an under powered Borussia side within 73 seconds. There were hints of offside in his goal but it is a goal nonetheless. The 21 year old erupted in joy as the fans roared in the stadium with the chants ‘He scores when he wants!’
Dortmund were a pale shadow of their usual selves as they lacked the pace and zip in their play. Injuries have constantly plagued Jurgen Klopp’s side this season and this is very evident from their performances in the recent past.
Alexis Sanchez continued his fine run of form as he once again registered himself on the score-sheet with a superb goal in 57th minute. Arsenal played a fluid brand of football with rookie keeper Martinez put up a good show last night.
