Manchester City qualify to Round of 16 yet again after their final day heroics as they stop Roma juggernaut at the Stadio Olympico with a 2-0 win. Samir Nasri and Pablo Zabaletta’s second half strikes sealed the tie for the visitors.

Roma started the match on a bright note and were the better of the two sides but they were lackluster in the final third. Roma came close on quite a few occasions as Miralem Pjanic’s multiple long range strikes were kept at bay by Joe Hart.

After an intense first half, City finally delivered in the second as Samir NAsri opened the scoring with a 25 yard screamer. Post the goal, the game was more of an end to end stuff with both teams going all out to get a goal to ensure their passage into the next round.

Pablo Zabaletta scored a simple tap in which sealed the tie for the Citizens and kept their Champions League dream alive.
