Cesar Azpilicueta signs new 5-year contract with Chelsea

One of the most consistent players for Chelsea for the past season - Cesar Azpilicueta or ‘Dave’ as he is affectionately called by the fans and his teammates has been rewarded with a new five year deal. Cesar signed for Chelsea from Marseille in the August 2012 transfer window. He has gone on to make 95 appearances and has scored a goal in capital one cup against Arsenal.

The list of Azpilicueta achievements have just grown since his move to Chelsea. He won the Chelsea’s player of the year award and has gone on to make his national team debut for Spain.

As Mourinho one’s said: “Give me a team of 11 Azpilicueta and I’ll win you the Champions league”

And that is have how highly he rates the Spaniard. No wonder he has been handed a 5 year deal.
