A resurgent Goa side host high flying Kerala Blasters in a crunch game which could decide the fortunes of both the teams who are in contention for a place in semi-finals.
Goa will be looking to build up on their impressive performance in last couple of games while Kerala will be looking to repeat the result in reverse fixture.
Key Battles
Grégory Arnolin vs Iain Hume
Hume is a key cog in the David James’ compact side as he tirelessly supports midfield to practically play as a defensive forward in two pronged attack. Arnolin is a rock in the defence of this flamboyant Goa side. Although Goa have been leaky at the back but the Frenchman has been one of the few bright spark in this dismal Goa defence. This could change the tone of the game.
Mandar Rao Desai vs Sandesh Jhingan
This is the battle of top notch young Indian talent. Desai is Goa’s beacon of light while Jhinghan at his age is the best leftback in ISL. An interesting battle is on the cards when two pacy and skilled players will collide in a showdown. A mouthwatering contest strongly recommended which cannot be missed at any cost.
Players to watch
FC Goa
Andre Santos -
The Brazilian winger has steered Goa’s attack to great potency and he will continue to do so with his buccaneering runs from the flanks. He is one of the Zico’s go to man.
Kerala Blasters
David James –
The English player-manager has led this Blasters defence quite admirably. He is the reason behind this supreme compactness behind the Kerala defence. He will be important to stop this free flowing Goa side.
