Frank Lampard to stay at Man City on a bumper pay package

Former Chelsea player Frank Lampard has decided to extend his stay with Man City. Lampard is on loan from City’s sister club New York City.

The England legend was about to join the MLS side in summer before Manuel Pellegrini chose to sign him on loan to cover his thin and fragile midfield. Lamps will earn a mouthwatering £190,000-a-week. This is almost 35% more than what his highest pay was at Chelsea.

Lampard is mainly signed to cover in for Yaya Toure who will leave for his national duties with Ivory Coast for African Cup of Nations in coming January. This means that MLS will have to wait till next summer to see the Englishman across the Atlantic.
