The latest Dortmund loss has left the team bottom of the league. The 2013 Champions league runners up were handed their 11th defeat in the league. This has been a season of down for the club who where the winner of the tournament in 2011 and 2012. After their recent defeat to Augsburg. After the defeat, Roman Weidenfeller and Mats Hummels were seen talking to angry spectators.

Borussia Dortmund players apologised face-to-face with incensed fans, with almost all the players looking in shock. With manager Klopp left with no words.Their baffling tumble from second to worst has their supporters just as frustrated and angry as the players and as the boos rained down. Dortmund though are still hanging by the thread and are still in the round of sixteen of Champions.

Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp said: “We can be accused of anything tonight and it is all justified. Battling also means having the courage to take the right decision. We were missing that tonight.”

Hummels said: “If one is in this position after 19 games then it would be unacceptable not to have understanding for the fans’ reactions.”
