Heskey to Foxes – I’m just a call away!

Former England striker Emilie Heskey has urged Leicester City to sign him up if they need him. The 36 year old is the ambassador of the club for almost two years now.

"It goes without saying, I'd love to come," Heskey told BBC Radio Leicester. Leicester, who have not scored in five games and are third from bottom, have room in their 25-man squad to add a free agent.

"It is a great club that allowed me to get to the platform that I got to," Heskey added.

"I was an England international when I was with Leicester so that was a great achievement."

Heskey’s presence would be a good presence in the Foxes dressing room as he can bring his years of top flight experience to this young and inexperienced Leicester squad. He went on to further add that,

"They have got a decent squad there, they just need that little pick me up, a little confidence,"

"It could be anything, just a spark to get going on a run to get out of it."

If at all they re-sign him, it would be an interesting move as Foxes have fired blanks for quite a few games and who better than Lord Heskey!
