Isla to QPR

Aug 05, 2014 13:14

Queens Park Rangers have agreed on a deal to sign Mauricio Isla from Juventus on a year-long loan.

The 26-year-old player has been known to play both in midfield and defence. He is expected to undergo a medical for the London club before his official unveiling at Loftus Road.

Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta spoke on the deal and said: “We have reached a deal with QPR for Isla loan move. Tomorrow he will have medical with QPR."

Isla played for his country Chile in the World Cup and put up some strong performances but with Juventus’ strong line-up it was unlikely that he would get any playing time.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp has already signed Rio Ferdinand and Steve Caulker and looks to do more business in the transfer window with the objective to stay afloat in the Premier League.

His team will face Hull City in their opening fixture at home on August 16.

We know this guy can not only defend but also score goals!

Here is the welcome he got when he joined parent club Juventus:
