Liverpool's Emre Can out for up to six weeks

Liverpool midfielder Emre is set to miss out with an ankle injury for a period of six weeks. Can suffered this injury in Germany U21's 8-0 victory over Romania U21. Can had a superb night ruined by injury. The midfielder of Turkish descent played a pivotal part as he contributed in 3 of the eight scored by his side.

Manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed it. The Welshman was particularly disappointed with international managers for handling his players as Liverpool have lost 3 key first team players. Daniel Sturridge and Joe Allen are other two casualties along with Can.

Rodgers said, 'Emre Can could be out for up to six weeks with his ankle when they got 6-0 up. Joe Allen is also a doubt after playing on a dreadful pitch with Wales.'
