Luka Modric Out Injured For Three Months

Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric injured himself while playing for his country against Italy. He picked up a thigh injury which will rule him out at least for three months according to the doctors.

Modric could miss almost 20 games for his side, as Real Madrid embark on a serious quest. With a tear to his left proximal rectus femoris tendon confirmed, Sami Khedira might be forced to stay and Madrid might have to sell him for free come this summer,

“I felt a very strong pain in the upper part of my thigh. It still hurts. It is a shame but football is like that,” said Modric after the game.

A FC Real Madrid statement on Tuesday reads:

After the imaging tests carried out by the Real Madrid Sanitas Medical Service on Luka Modric, a tear of the left proximal rectus femoris tendon has been found. His progress will be monitored.
