Former Barcelona keeper Victor Valdes is set to sign for Manchester United this January. He will sign a two year contract with Old Trafford club.
The Spanish international is training with United for last couple of months and has agreed to sign a deal with them. He suffered a knee injury against Celta last season which ruled him out for almost eight months, which led to his absence from World Cup in Brazil.
Valdes was out of contract with Barca and refused to sign a new deal in order to explore new avenues. This will lead to the ouster of club’s second choice keeper Anders Lindegaard, who has failed to impress during his stay at Old Trafford.
Valdes will compete in-form keeper and compatriot David De Gea fort the top spot.
