Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has pulled Frank Lampard on loan to his club as the 36-year-old is not going to be playing any football.
The defending League champions have succeeded in convincing the Blues legend to join their club.
It seems unlikely as the citizens are a direct rival for the Blues and Lampard wouldn’t want to damage his reputation with his fans.
But Pellegrini has had the last word, saying: “He is a player for Manchester City and he will play every game he needs to play.” The Blues take on Man City at the Etihad Stadium on September 21.
Still unclear if hehe player will sit out of the high-octane between the two clubs on September 21 this year.
Lampard has already to join City’s sister club Melbourne City in Australia and would play with Spaniard David Villa.
But the lure of the Premier League can be insurmountable and the midfielder has come to England for the disappointment of the Down Under fans.
