Bale off to Old Trafford?

If reports in Spain are to be believed then, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale is inching closer to a return to English football. Manchester United is his destination.

Spanish daily Fichajes, is reporting that Real Madrid is willing to sell the Welshman as they are able to recover their investment they made on him last season. They also report that Manchester United board have given Louis van Gaal the green light to get his man.

English tabloid Metro also picked up this story. The fee is rumored to be around £90m which is more than what Real paid to Tottenham for him. Fichajes have made the conversion in Euros and it is well around 130 million. A contract of around £300,000 a week is in the offing to lure him from Santiago Bernabeu.

Well, Metro is known for its sensationalist news and is not one of the reliable sources of transfer news, so is Fichajes. But we may never know when they can have that one blockbuster news. So keep your eyes open, if at all this news turns out to be reality. A host of tabloids have picked up this news from Metro, but everyone knows what they are capable of.
