The defending champions made heavy weather of their secong Champions League group game as they came from behind to get all three points past spirited Ludogorets Razgard. Karim Benzema gave the Spanish side all three points by scoring a late winner.

Ludogorets shocked one and all as they got a surprise lead in 6th minute through a corner. Te star defender Moti flicked the ball off the corner to Marcelino who headed the ball past Iker Casillas. The home sidre aptly capitalized on their visitor’s initial sluggishness. Minutes later, Real got themselves a penalty via Chicharito only to see Cristiano Ronaldo to miss it.

Real soon, got into their stride and were pulling out all stops against their supposed inferior oppomnents. Los Blancos finally managed to get back on level terms, thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo, who finally converted his second spot kick after being fouled by Cosmin Moti.

The game was as open as the skies, as both the teams were playing an attacking brand of football. Ludogorets, who lost by a similar margin and in the similar fashion, were spirited enough to give the 10 times European Champions a run for their money.

It was late in the second half, as French forward came off the bench to give Real a crucial win and spared them the blushes. It was indeed heartbreaking for the hosts, second time in the row, but such is the life in Champions League.
