Everton v Liverpool | 7th Feb | 11 PM IST

When it comes down to derbies, its all about a single city being separated in two different set of supporters supporting their favorite team.

In what could be Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's last Merseyside derby, Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers would want to win it for their leaving captain for one last time.

Steven Gerrard a local, has always proved to be an nemesis when it comes to scoring important goals for Everton. Having scored a incredible 10 goals from his 32 Merseyside games, Everton fans would be happy to see the Liverpool man leave the league in summer.

On the other hand, Everton who trail their neighbors by 12 points, would like to build up on their win against Palace last week. Martinez who hasn't won a Merseyside derby since taking over at Everton, would surly like to get one tomorrow, which would just be one of the few good moments in a disastrous season.

Team News:

After an hectic last month, with games jam packed, Liverpool have finally picked up from where the left in the last season. Sterling Coutinho bromance has worked wonders for Brendan Rodgers side.

And to add to it, they've their star man Daniel Sturridge coming back from an injury. Though we don't expect the English striker to start, but we do believe he'll come on at some point of the game. Defensively, Emre Can has come off age, with Skrtel and Sakho proving the perfect partners in the central defensive area.

For Everton, it has been tough times. But with young and talented manager like Roberto Manager at the helm, they can still turn turn their year around, with a Europa league win in summer. Not forgetting the fact that the winner of the tournament gets an direct entry to next seasons Champions League.

Coming back to team news, only one realistic change is expected this week, with Barkley coming in for Aiden McGeady. New signing Aaron Lennon is expected to start on the bench.
