Pedro might join Chelsea
Pedro Rodriguez recently confirmed reports that his release clause was lowered to a reported €30 million and that he has several offers on the table, but refuses to discuss them publicly as it would show a lack of respect to the club.
In a recent interview at his summer camp in Lleida, Pedro spoke about the rumours linking the Spanish international with a move to Arsenal or Chelsea;
“It’s true that between both sides, we decided to lower my release clause and there are offers. I’m in a very difficult position at Barcelona, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself. I’m only interested in getting back to work on Wednesday with my teammates and then we’ll see what happens.”
“I haven’t spoken with Mourinho. I don’t want to say anything, it would show a lack of respect to my club. Right now, I want to enjoy these kids in camp.”
Pedro did admit that his situation, playing behind the trident of Leo Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar is very difficult and is desperate to see more minutes and that his dream has always been to continue playing at the Camp Nou.
“It’s a complicated situation. You want to play more minutes, more options and to be a starter. I know that Barcelona is like nowhere else. My dream is to stay here, I’ve won a lot of titles and that fills me with satisfaction and joy, but I have the ambition to improve and play.
“It’s difficult to be at the top level, we’ll see what happens. I’m happier when I can play.”
