PSG vs Chelsea – Preview

The Champions League is back as Laurent Blanc’s PSG welcome Premier League leaders Chelsea at Parc des Princes. This is for the second consecutive season where both the teams are going head to head with each other.

Last season, Jose Mourinho tactically outwitted PSG as they comfortably knocked them out over the two legs. But this season it is going to be a different story altogether as the Parisians are struggling for any sort of form while Chelsea are in top gear.

A tactical battle is on the cards as both the teams will be itching to qualify over to the next round with ease.

Team News

PSG have a large number of players who are doubtful for the tie against Chelsea. Laurent Blanc has doubts over the availability of Yohan Cabaye, Blaise Matuidi, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura. This will be the first time David Luiz will face his old club since his $60 million move to Paris.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has no such worries as John Obi Mikel will be the only one out with injury. Chelsea will be pleased to welcome Diego Costa who will be returning for the Blues after serving a three game suspension.

Probable Lineups

PSG - Sirigu; Maxwell, Thiago Silva, Luiz, Van der Wiel; Verratti, Matuidi, Motta; Lavezzi, Cavani, Ibrahimovic

Chelsea - Courtois; Azpilicueta, Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic; Matic, Fabregas; Oscar, Willian, Hazard, Costa

TFM predicts a 2-1 win for Chelsea as PSG are currently in total shambles due to the injuries.
