A game of missed chances as both sides failed to finish off, in what could have been a completely a different result had they done it.
Southampton fans where given a reason to enjoy their new year as they raised a toast in the name of their team after a terrific performance.
Southampton who managed a draw against Chelsea on the Christmas eve at the St. Mary's out played a injury plagued Arsenal side who had almost twelve absentees.
But it was goalkeeper Szczesny who needs to bed blamed for their lose. For the first he went walkabout, for the second he panicked.
Saido Mane was on target again as he out muscled Koss, to the ball and chipped it of the on coming Szczesny who had no clue about his positioning.
