Southampton vs Liverpool – Preview

Two of the in-form teams of Barclays Premier League go head to head at St Mary’s as the race for the top four spot hots up. Liverpool will travel to south coast to extend their run of good form after not losing any game since Christmas. Saints too have been in good form as they too are in the good knick since the turn of year.

Manchester United’s defeat last night may well give both the teams the extra impetus to push for a win as particularly Saints who can then push for the top four spot.

Team News

Adam Lallana will surely return to his previous home as a starter as he along with Raheem Sterling is going to be the frontline attackers alongside Daniel Sturridge.

Saints are boosted by the return of the dynamic duo of Morgan Schneiderlin and Shane Long after lengthy layoffs.

Probable Lineups

Saints - Forster, Clyne, Fonte, Gardos, Yoshida, Wanyama, Schneiderlin, S. Davis, Mane, Elia, Pelle

Liverpool - Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Allen, Henderson, Moreno, Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Sturridge

TFM predicts a 1-1 draw at the St Mary’s as both the teams are too close at the moment although if one of the defenses has an off day it could be anybody’s game.
