Lenny Rodriguez might just be well on his way to becoming the next big name in Indian football. The Goan-born player has been passionate about the game ever since he was a child, when his grandfather infused in him a love for football and and started training when he was 17 with the Fransa-Pax FC. Their dissolution allowed the young man to train with Goa's Salgaocar FC, from where he got the chance to move to his dream team - the Churchill Brothers FC. He joined them in the 2008-09 season.

Rodriguez has been seen to play as a very selfless player, playing with versatility as he puts the needs of the team before personal glory. This got him into the Indian national team and he played his first match for the country against Oman in 2012. He was also a part of the team that lifted the Nehru Cup and then went on win the I-League as well as the Footballer of the Year Award last year. The man is a strong midfielder and versatile on the wings and looks like a promising deal for the Pune City FC, where he will be playing come ISL.
