Chelsea who were knocked out by PSG in the round of sixteen on away goals rule, are set to be looking at long term future instead of being short sighted as they are set to hand a new contract to manager Jose Mourinho.



Jose who signed a four year contract when he joined the club the second time in its history, has impressed the hierarchy with his work on the pitch and off it as he see's his long term future at the South London club.


Chelsea who have already won the Capital One Cup and are five points ahead of City with a game in hand is said to reward and look at stable long term future of the club. Not only has José won a cup he has managed do bargain deals for his players.


With the club posting positive balance sheet results for the past two years, the Blues owner is said to have been happy and ready to offer a new improved contract.


A source close to the Russian billionaire said last night: "Roman has no complaints.


"He will definitely want Jose to stay, even if they do not win the league."
