La Liga Analysis

Completing our list of league Analysis across Europe, today we look at Spanish Premiera Division.

Top of the table sit Real Madrid, who have found their gears after a early season blip. Early league losses against Sociedad and neighbors and defending champions Atletico Madrid looked as if they were having a last season hangover. But Madrid shrugged off their hangover and went on to win their next 27 games including winning the FIFA club world cup trophy. Star man Cristiano Ronaldo has been influential as usual.

Second on the table and just a point away are FC Barcelona who have had a decent start to their new season under manager Luis Enrique. Enrique who was formerly the coach of Barca B team has introduced a number of young boys to the first team, with Munir, Adama and Roberto just to name a few. Messi, Neymar and Suarez have formed a good partnership between themselves as they look devastating with so many scorers in the team.

Last season's champions Atlet sit third on the table with 35 points from 16 games, as they chase the big two just like last season. Defeats on the hands of Villarreal, Sociedad and Valencia has left them 4 behind leaders Real Madrid. But there is not hope lost, just yet!

Newly rich club backed by Singapore businessman Peter Lim, Valencia complete the European spots. Valencia who only play the League ad Cup competition this season, have a good chance of finishing in the top 4 as they play less number matches compared to other teams.

Villarreal, Sevilla, Malaga all complete the Europa league spot as they look to firm their position as the nearest chaser Celta Vigo are 10 points behind.

Levante, Almeria, Deportiva all avoid being in the relegation spots just because of their goal differences. But Granada, Cordoba and Elche are struggling to score and defend as they look to get their side out of the relegation spot.
