Liverpool could sign Iker Casillas if they fail to sign Victor Valdes

Victor Valdes who failed a medical with French side AS Monaco, is on the Liverpool radar. Liverpool who have been leaking in goals regularly, need a good back up keeper who could give the current number Simon Mignolet a run for his place.

Valdes who left Barcelona this summer as a free agent has been without a club all summer long as he recovers from his hamstring. But with a doubt about his fitness Liverpool could make a bid for legendary Real Madrid keeper and their captain who has been a sort of out of favour at the club for the past two seasons. Madrid who sold Diego Lopez this summer to make way for a the new signing Navas, has performed well and impressed the Madrid fans.

Brendan Rodgers, who has been critical about his defense and goal keeping situation could address these two areas of concern come this January.
