This was billed as a blockbuster clash in Serie A as once it used to be. Milan are not the same team they were whereas Juve are the team to beat in Italy. For the first time in 3 years, San Siro was full house as all the Torinos and Rossoneris were expecting a thriller.
But the game was anything but a thriller. It was all Juve show for majority of the game as Inzhagi's Milan were too cautious at their home. It was Bianconeri who hogged majority of possession and were the dominant of the two. Juventus came close to open their account via midfielder Claudio Marchisio, who was denied the post. While Keisuke Honda had a glorious chance to bring Milan into an unexpected lead but was denied by ever present Gigi Buffon.
But with 20 minutes to go, Juve finally got their well deserved goal as an in-form Carlos Tevez managed to break the deadlock and stubborn Milan defense. Paul Pogba and Tevez had a beautiful exchange of passes between them in Milan's box before Tevez beat Abbiati to slot the ball home. This was the Argentine's fourth goal in as many matches.
The game then sprang into life then as Milan then started to venture forward. Pippo Inzaghi threw his strikers Giampaolo Pazzini and Fernando Torres in a bid for an equalizer. But both of them failed to have any impact. The Juventus back line was strong enough to withstand this Rossoneri barrage of attacks. In the end, it was The Old Lady who went away with all 3 points in the process, handed Pippo's Milan their first defeat of the season.
