Three points to Mumbai City FC as they go third on the table courtesy a 59th Minute Nicolas Anelka finish. Mumbai sit third on the table as they leap frogged Delhi after two consecutive wins. On the other hand, Nicolas Anelka has started to look lively and started to enjoy is time playing ISL.
Mumbai coach Peter Reid named a unchanged side, as the team looked balanced with as they won their last game against Kerala. Delhi on the other side, had a few changes with captain Del Piero on the bench.
Mumbai kicked off with, Delhi starting the game better and playing a few decent one two between them. The game saw both the teams happy to let the opposition have the ball as they sat back.
Mumbai captain for the night, Syed Nabi went off injured as he pulled his hamstring. Peter Reid sent Costa as the replacement to Nabi. With 15 minutes into the game, Anelka was released on the flank by Subash but Delhi keeper was swift of the line. Mumbai looked out of place, as Delhi dominated possession. But for all the possession Delhi had, there was no such trouble to India's number one and Mumbai's keeper Paul.
The first shot of the game, fell to Andre Mortiz who lashed it wide. With the game opening up, the teams saw a couple of opportunities. The first half ended in a stalemate.
Delhi kicked off the second half, with the game visibly opened up. Both teams looking to take the lead, Mumbai had a good first opening 10 minutes. With Nicolas Anelka and Andre Mortiz running at the Delhi defence, with Subash Singh providing the width.

With goal down, Delhi manager called up their Marquee player Del Piero as they chased the game. As the game progressed Mumbai took the game into their hands with Nicolas Anelka almost scoring the second as he jinked a dummy over the ball and took a shot which was deflected for a corner.
The other side of the pitch saw action from Del Piero as he took a shot from 25 yards, which just went wide. As the game progressed, Delhi left behind a lot of space behind the midfield as Subash was put through, with Anelka running besides him the Mumbai winger wasted a great opportunity to put the game to bed.
Mumbai where toiling on a slender lead as the away side where awarded a free kick which was saved by Paul to maintain his clean sheet and earn his side all three points.
