Ribery’s weird return

Franck Ribery made his return to Bayern Munich was supposed to be the news of the hour. But the match is in the news for all other reasons except football.

Franck Ribery was brushed by a spectator’s scarf who made his foray into the field, when Bayern were playing Hamburg in DFB Pokal clash. Bayern won the game 3-1 but Ribery had a momentary nightmare.

The winger was relaxed about the incident post match. 'Fortunately, nothing much happened,' a smiling Ribery told German television after the match. 'It was a difficult situation, I didn't see him coming.'

Well pitch invasion isn't something new but sometimes it just gives us some extra entertainment apart from the match.
