?Arsenal are trying to buy Goncalo Guedes, 17, regarded as the "new Cristiano Ronaldo", but the Benfica star will cost them £40m.

Arsenal whose under 21 team who are playing in the league two of u21s haven't been doing so well, with the team getting relegated last year. Arsenal who are well known for bringing players young into the first team from their reserves would like to sign a prospect like Goncalo.

Goncalo who is just 17, is set to sign his first major contract with Benfica for whom he has been playing since his youth football days. Signing a new contract will mean that, the player will have a release clause of £40m inserted in it.

Major clubs like Bayern, City, Barcelona and Real Madrid are all interested in signing the player but, needs to be seen if anyone makes a £40m bid for a unknown quantity in top flight football.

Wenger who regrets on missing to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, might just be ready to pounce on the new Ronaldo when the time is right.
