This news seems to be too good to be true. Yes, I did pinch myself first; but the ISL Delhi franchise have been able to acquire services of the eight-time Serie A champion, Del Piero! The Juventus legend was looking for a new club since he was released by Australian W-league side, Sydney F. C.
The Delhi team will officially present Del Piero as their club Marquee signing, Alessandro will also be on the list of brand ambassadors for the inaugural Indian Super League along with other superstars like David Trezeguet, David James and Michael Chopra.
This will be a gigantic boost for Indian Football with international players of such stature playing alongside the Indian footballers. Indian Football is on a high!
